Graduate Collection: Work in Progress

Counting The Minutes will be a four look collection exploring the psychology behind the mundane corporate routine. It opposes feelings of conformity, encourages freedom, and criticises the professional personality. Inspired by Francis Bacon’s Businessman series and the concept of Utopia, the designs are individual and modern with brutalist characteristics, adding a twist on functional office-wear. The collection incorporates sharp shapes and bold silhouettes into grey suiting, and uses typical office supplies like paper and staples to create unique textiles. This idea is also the reason behind folded origami-like pants and sleeves. Counting The Minutes turns the mundane into something thought provoking and intriguing.
